In this class, you will be applying principles of child development while working 4 hours a week as a teacher's aide in a preschool classroom. Weekly class sessions will focus on developing skills for interacting effectively with preschool children understanding how preschool children think and communicate identifying developmentally appropriate educational goals and creating learning opportunities for young children assessing an individual child's developmental level

On or before Sept. 1, you must sign up for your weekly fieldwork hours. Sign up on sakai. Your are required to attend 4 hours a week for 14 weeks for a total of 56 hours, even if you enter the course late Field work hours begin the first week of classes (today). YOU MUST CALL THE CENTER IN ADVANCE if you cannot come due to illness or an emergency so that alternative staffing arrangements can be made. Otherwise, your absence will not be excused. If you cannot to call yourself, ask someone to call for you.
