The Power of Ideas. The excerpts I choose were Augustine on God and Time. This was about the ex nihilo theory, which questions the Christian Theology. What it questions is why did God create the world when he did? And did time exist before the world was created. Augustine asked these questions and was able to answer them in away that kind of makes since to me even with my beliefs in God. In this reading Augustine points out that time technically did not take place until God created humans. The he questions does the past and the future really exist in reality. So he comes to the conclusion that past and future only exist in the human mind. What I found in this excerpts is a lot of logical questions with logical answers but with the questions comes more questions and with the answers comes more questions. So I feel that this topic will always be up for debate. There is no clear-cut answer for when was time created and we can only come up with theories on how and when it came about. Augustine used arguments and logic to come up with his answer however, is his answer
