After reading about fiber, I have learned how important it is for our body to function healthy. Fiber function is to regulate digestion in our bodies. Sources of fiber can be pasta, bread, oats and rye. According to the American Heart Association website soluble fiber increased diet quality and decreases risk of cardiovascular disease. Insoluble fiber decreases cardiovascular risk and slower progression of cardiovascular disease in high- risk individuals. There is a big gap between an adult’s intake of fiber and a child’s. According to the American Heart Association a five year old should get 10 grams of fiber a day and they hit adulthood they should have 25 grams of fiber a day, the amount

After reading the two sites I have learned how important fiber is to our diet and how it can help use mange our weight gain and maintain a healthy diet. I have been trying to lose weight and have been successful in doing so, but I never list to my trainer about the importance of fiber. I guess its because I was never force to sit and read exactly what the benefits are to adding more fiber to my diet. My knowledge of fiber was that it just helps you go the bathroom but now I know it does a lot more than just that. Fiber will also help me stir clear or should I say decrease my chance of having a heart disease and to hear that is always nice....
