The methodical instruction for lesson № 19 By biochemistry for students 2 course by specialty "General medicine " from September, 15 till September, 19th 2008 - 2009 year. The aim: «Analysis of gastric juice . Definition of metabolites and enzymes of nitrogenous metabolism in the blood. The main questions of the theme: 1.Definition of transaminase activity (АSТ, АLТ) in the serum of blood 2.Definition of acidity of gastric juice. 3.Analysis of gastric juice (opening of lactate in the gastric juice). Work 1. Lactic acid test. Reaction of Uffelman. Course of work: Take tube pour in 10-15 drops of Uffelman reagent / mix solution FeCL3 5 drops and 5 drops phenol/ add 10 -15 drops distillate H 2 O and add 5 drops gastric juice. If gastric juice contains lactate / lactic acid/ purple color of Uffelman reagent is changed and is formed green -yellow color. Normal gastric juice does not contain lactic acid only in pathology is appeared lactic acid - cancer of stomach.
