The methodical instruction for lesson № 21 By biochemistry for students 2 course by specialty "General medicine " from September, 15 till September, 19th 2008 - 2009 year. The theme: «Biochemistry of hormones» The main questions of the theme: 1. Insulin and glucagon, the chemical nature and the mechanism of action in regulation of exchange processes. 2. A diabetes. The basic biochemical infringements at a diabetes 3. Mineralocorticoids and glucocorticoids of adrenal glands, the chemical nature, representatives, the mechanism of action of these hormones on a metabolism. 4. A general characteristic of hormones sexual glands. Practical works: 1. The Qualitative reactions confirming the proteins nature of insulin. 2. Qualitative reaction on cortizol 3. Definition of 17-cetosteroids. Work 1. Quantitative reaction on the cortisol. Course of work: Pour in 6-7 drops solution of cortisol in tube and add 2-3 drops solution of hydroxide tetramethil ammonia and 2-3 drops blue solution of tetrasolia, mix and put in dark place for 25 minutes. After this the fluid is colored to pink-color. Result:
