Pamela Roberson CUTE IS NOT ALWAYS HEALTHY CUTE IS NOT ALWAYS HEALTHY Larry, I understand you think Laura is cute and she still has that baby face but you must remember how easy her weight can become a health issue even at her age. Childhood obesity is a serious medical condition that affects children and adolescents in the United States. Childhood obesity is particularly troubling because the extra pounds often start children on the path to health problems such as diabetes, high blood pressure and high cholesterol. Laura loves to eat high-calorie foods, such as fast foods, baked goods and vending machine snacks, which can easily cause her to gain weight. Before I understood what I was doing to my daughter, my groceries would consist of convenience foods, such as cookies, chips, soft drinks, desserts and other high-calorie items, this contributed to her weight gain. Laura has developed some health issues because of her excessive weight gain. She began loud snoring which caused her to have restless sleep at night. After research I
