Letter to Larry 2 Letter to Larry Dear Larry, There are many different causes of obesity such as; eating too much, fatty and sweet food, not enough exercise and the genes one is born with. People here in Texas tend to eat foods high in fat, and containing lots of calories, are more likely to gain weight than people who fill their plates with a large number of low-calorie foods such as bread, potatoes and vegetables (Caballero 2001). People who eat more calories need to burn more calories, otherwise their excess calories get stored in their bodies as fat. In order to burn those calories, they must exercise more and loose the fat. If they do not exercise they will gain weight and become obese however people who exercise tend to be more fit and less obese. These differences may be due to different diet factors. We all eat different types of food from different food

Thus, in conclusion, many obese people do not deserve any blame for the fact that their appearance may just be a case of his/her personal biology.
