1 Lecture-22 Wavefront is instantaneous surface of uniform phase. For wave propagating in one direction, the wavefront is planar. In three-D space, the wavefront is spherical in shape. Wavefront is perpendicular to direction of wave propagation. Huygens’ Principle “All points on a wavefront can be considered as point sources for the production of spherical wavelets.
