3 Field Experience Reflection: “Formative assessments include ask and answer questioning, evaluation of student work, conferring, running records, and other tools used for immediate feedback to understand student learning. This data informs instructional decisions as the immediate feedback allows for self- reflection and readjustments of teaching strategies” (McCarthy,. 2015). Assessments are usually more student centered as I also confirmed in the observational videos from this week. The classroom video observations this week were on English language arts and mathematics.
