A lot of the time laypeople don’t realize that some issues have time limits and don’t all of what needs to be done. 1. Why do the Model Rules say that members of the legal profession should assist laypeople in recognizing their legal problems? 2. Why should lawyers and paralegals participate in educational and public relations programs for members of the general public? --Answer below: Lawyers and paralegals should participate in educational and public relations programs so they can inform the public of their rights. It also gives opportunity for the public to meet with lawyers. Lawyers and paralegals have informational meetings in order to fulfill their duties. The programs they have are also less intimidating for the public so that feel comfortable. 3. Is advertising for lawyers lawful?
