putting their information over the internet. There are also risks of making purchases in stores too. Today’s society should go back to the old fashion way of using cash because there are no risks compared to using all other payment types online or even in the store. First let’s discuss the risks of making purchases online. When something is bought online the consumer takes a chance that they might not receive the item or never receive a refund for returned or never received items. Consumers information is also can be hacked or stolen for employees gaining access to merchant records the company’s computer systems aren’t very secure. Also if the consumer only has a debit card the law doesn’t have the same $50 limit of out of pocket costs when a consumer is a victim of fraud like using a credit card.
