The Unawakened Boy – Notes - Ondras Machula = “Husar”; now ife or kids; story starts with him dreaming o Heards geese from house to house o Miserable creation of God; people felt sorry for him o Parents were well respected farmers Father = Jano ; couldn’t bare to look at his son Mother = Zuza; loves him the way he is Jano starts going to tavern; comes back drunk 1 night going to hurt the child; Zuza stops him and takes Ondras to her older sister’s house; Jano later regrets his actions Zuza later died and Ondras lived on with his aunt - Ondras now 20 – friends with children (make mills by streams) and told fairy tales - Princess was smiling at Ondras o It wasn’t a princess, but Zuzka bringing him his lunch o Zuzka tells Ondras she separated with her suiter and that he will not leave her She plays along with it as Ondras talks about them getting married -
