CSC 1253 Assign 3 Date Due: 2/22/2005 10 Pts. Midnight You are to write a program for the office of emergency preparedness to prepare for flood damage in the Mississippi River Basin. . For each of 15 major buildings you are to read in its coordinates (latitude and longitude), and determine whether it is in the 5 year, 10 year fifty year flood plain or outside the flood plian. We have three rectangles enclosed in each other. The largest is the Mississippi Flood plain the fifty year flood plain. That is on average it is flooded every fifty years. The middle is the 10 year flood plain that is any point within it gets flooded on average every 10 years. The third rectangle is flooded every five years on average. Note: When moving left to right (west to east) in the western hemisphere, the longitude decreases.
