CIS 6930 DMS, Fall 2011 A Survey on the Student Background given by Jonathan C.L. Liu Out: Aug. 29 (Monday), 2011 Due: Aug. 31 (Wednesday) or Sep. 02 (Friday), 2011 This is an anonymous survey in order to let the instructor determine the proper path for teaching this course. Please do NOT list your name or ID on your answers. There are 6 questions in total, remember to turn to the second page for the last 3 questions. Question 1: Please tell me your status of study (e.g., senior year in BS, ±rst-year in MS, third-year in PhD, etc). Question 2: Have you taken any networking classes (e.g., CNT 4700, CNT 5106) before? If your answer is YES, please indicate when/which course(s), names of instructors and the textbook(s) used. Question 3: Have you written networking programs (e.g., TCP/IP) before? If your answer is YES, please describe in details on what and how did you accomplish the programming tasks.
