The war in Afghanistan has certainly captured the attention of the world. In this trip we will travel to Afghanistan  to discover the roots of the current unrest and analyze the potential for that country's transformation into a truly  democratic society. In our Chapter One Chat, we discussed the conditions conducive for Democracy. Choose  one of the four conditions (educational, economic, social and ideological) and conduct internet research on the  situation in Afghanistan today including the historic contributors.  1. Conduct an internet search to find an interesting detailed factoid from a credible source (a short, meaty fact  that paints a picture about Afghanistan). Everyone must find a different factoid. Only ten postings can be made  for each condition. When ten postings have been made, you must choose a different condition to research so  that we get a complete picture of the situation in Afghanistan.  2. Which of the four conditions does this factoid illustrate?  3. Share your position on the future for democracy in Afghanistan.  4. Cite your sources including COMPLETE URL'S. 5. Read your classmates' postings and comment. 1. “Afghanistan's economy is recovering from decades of conflict.
