It is important that teachers reflect on cultural and linguistic diversity because it greatly affects students and they way that they learn. We must embrace culture and diversity in our classrooms and recognize how they do infact shape students as far as learning styles and they way that they live. Teaching different cultures as well as holidays will expand all students’ knowledge and is a great way to teach them about different ways then they themselves live and do things. It is a good idea to have the students themselves talk about their culture and how it has shaped them. 2. A. Explain the difference between BICS and CALP.
