US : (1957) There was prosecution of people based on them gathering under the communist flag SC put a lid on all justice of department actions, need proof of gathering, convicting one based on gathering on an idea is unconstitutional based on their first amendment rights Watkins v. US : (1957) (?) Ruling- Due process right had been violated Last two cases show how the SC is moving away from the Cold War period
