Autumn Constance Hdf 418 2-3:15 2/10/10 Factors in Intimate Relationships Interdependence means being mutually and physically responsible to and sharing a common set of principles with others. This implies that the participants are emotionally, economically, ecologically and morally interdependent. Interdependence weaves together the concept of freedom and independence with the devotion to family, community and society. This can also be the connection between people socially, economically, environmentally and politically. Being dependent on something or someone means that you rely on them. This could mean relying on another for support emotionally, physically, mentally or economically. Being independent basically means being free. This could mean you take care of yourself fully and don’t rely on other people for support or resources. Equality in a relationship refers to egalitarianism or equal gender rights. This is mostly in regards to women’s rights in the household when we’re talking about marriage. This can mean
