Autumn Constance HSC 526 Personal Project For my personal project I was slightly torn about what my personal habit change needed to be. Final contesters included spending at least half an hour a day exercising, stop procrastinating, do more cleaning and quitting smoking. In order to make a decision I did some research. I decided the change I wanted to see was related to health. I concluded that I needed to stop smoking cigarettes sense I had been heavily addicted for over 5 years at the age of 22. I started researching looking for reasons to stop smoking. According to the Center for Disease Control and Prevention health effects from cigarettes account for around 443,000 deaths a year in the United States. Also, more deaths are caused by smoking each year than HIV, illegal drug use, alcohol use, car accidents, suicides and murders combined. Smoking also caused 80% of the lung cancer deaths in women. This was slightly alarming for me, so I made my decision. Before taking the steps to quit I looked up some side effects of withdrawal so I would
