1 My first semester at college kicked off with an interesting start. I had decided not to play soccer, and instead I joined the Crew team. I think when I first came to La Salle I wasn’t really sure what to make of college life. There were so many different things being thrown at me at once, I just sort of needed to take a moment to step back and really set my priorities straight. I had a lot of things to balance: six classes, two jobs and one sports team. At first it was difficult for me to adjust to a new social schedule because I had so much to focus on academically, but I eventually found my way. I think the most difficult thing about college is learning how to maintain that perfect balance. Have time for friends and still be able to get all your work done and handed in on time. Students in College begin to form their social networks and support systems within minutes of arriving on campus. It’s truly amazing what can happen in just a few short months at LaSalle. Moving out and moving on to the next stage of your life can be a rocky transition, and as I hastily approach my second semester here at LaSalle, I’ve come to find that the boundary between what I learn inside the classroom and the experiences I have beyond the books is rapidly
