The Reasons for Students’ Cheating Although schools punish students’ cheating strictly, many students still keep cheating in exam. There are four main reasons for students’ cheating. For one, students are not interest in this subject or course. Sometimes, students don’t like a subject or a course; they will think it is boring, meaningless and not useful. They will be not care about this subject even refuse studying it. Maybe they will late for the class, absence the class, not follow the instructors, not do home work carefully. So the will know very little about this course. But they have to get a passing grade to graduate; they have to cheat in exam in order to pass this course. Another reason is that cheating is an easy and expediency way to get high score. “Mr. Flynn, a German language and U.S. History teacher here at Cam High, stated that students mostly cheat to take the easy way out.”(Robert, Kennedy. 1997) Everyone knows cheating must be easier than study day and night.
