A tongue is like a bar that pushes out of a mouth. かい shellfish money This came from the shape of a shell. Shells were used like money in old times, so this radical is often used in a kanji that has something to do with money. また hand takes in again It is the appearance of the right arm that is about to do something. It is the way a hand tries to reach something inside “again” in addition to the effort that is already happening within that area. As a radical, it is used for a part of kanji that includes some action of a hand. シ city The 1st drawing shows how grass and trees grow freely. Then the black bar was added to stop it. It means how a tariff was made to go into an area where a lot of people were going everywhere freely. The enclosed area was the form of a “city.” ミ not yet The green dots show the tips of the tree branches that have not grown fully yet. So this means, “not yet.” ...
