AD07 October 28, 2009 Josh Moulton On Puppies, pigs, and people: Eating Meat and Marginal cases In this article, Alastair Norcross first talks about a man who put his own pleasure above the pleasure of multiple puppies. This man tortured puppies so that eventually he could eat them for all the cocamone that developed in their brains. At first the man seemed crazy, but then he made a point that said, how is what he doing worse than mass slaughtering that is done to farm animals for food for the rest of the human population. The article later goes on to discuss why puppies are different than farm animals, and if that isn’t reason enough, then why humans are seen as better than animals. He discusses how many people think that since so many people eat livestock that one more person won’t make a difference. Why do we rank ourselves above all animals? Then Norcross cites multiple works of others to explain how some humans could be considered at the same level as animals, but we don’t treat them that way. This is a good
