Anorexia Athletica English 112 March 28, 2010 1. I chose this topic because it relates to me personally. I had this eating disorder when I was a junior in high school and it influenced every part of my life. Some ways that I thought were good but over all, it was more damaging than beneficial. 2. This essay is going to talk about anorexia athletica. This is an eating disorder that is very common among young athletes. It is when an athlete doesn’t eat a lot of food, but then goes and works out for hours to burn fat. This was an eating disorder that I had. This article will discuss the issues that many people talk about with this eating disorder. These are topics such as how to fix such a problem and why athletes become this way. It will also talk about how this disease affects different party of the athlete’s lives even though they may not realize it. There are many people that disagree with parts of this problem. Some people argue that all athletes that have this problem need to go get help in a special facility. There are many different
