Select foods from a variety of choices and then review a report on how closely you were able to match your intake goals for saturated fat, cholesterol, sodium, and calories. After analyzing the nutritional value of your typical daily diet, describe the areas in which you need improvement by answering the questions below. 1. Is your fat intake too high? My total fat intake on an average days 97.2. My maximum total fat for the day 50. My saturated fat on an average day is 46.1. My maximum saturated fat a day should only be 10.

What are the steps you could take to improve your diet? Steps that I can do to improve my diet would be to aim for less than 7% of calories in Saturated fat. I need to aim for 25-35% of calories of fat. This will help reduce my total fat. To reduce my cholesterol I should get a better more healthier butter and maybe not eat that extra piece of bacon. These steps should reduce my calorie intake. Reading labels more carefully and choosing healthier cuts of meats and with regular physical activity will put me on the right track for a healthier me.
