Do you ever think about the set of questions that Berry considers “critical” (p. 125)? Why or why not? 2. What is an "industrial eater"? (P. 126) Elaborate and give concrete examples. 3. What do you make of Berry's assertion that "to eat responsibly is to live free"? (P. 127) Is this mere rhetoric? Hyperbole? Or is there something to it? 4. Berry suggests that a person can eat in a way that is more than a “purely appetitive transaction between him and his food.” (P. 128). What does he mean? How is this different from Fisher’s perspective? 5. "...how we eat determines, to a considerable extent, the way the world is used. ..To eat responsibly is to understand and enact, so far as one can, this complex relationship." (P. 129) Explain this statement in your own words, giving concrete examples if you can. 6.
