August 1, 2011 Mr. Jake B. Gooding, Manager St. James Apartments 1180 Rugby Road Springfieldsville, CA 91370-4225 Dear Mr. Gooding, Thank you for taking the time to read this email. I imagine that managing such a large apartment complex is a time-consuming task. The St. James Apartment Complex is well-known as the best living experience in Springsfieldville, CA. Cultivating that reputation probably required a lot of hard work, and I would like to help St. James maintain that reputation for quality apartments and a positive social atmosphere. I had always wanted to live at St. James, and I eagerly enlisted two of my best friends to sign up for the 2011 Spring/Summer semester. When we arrived at our apartment, we realized the previous residents had left piles of unwanted bedding and clothing in our rooms. Also, the refrigerator was packed with year-old expired food and needed extensive cleaning. The office staff promised a cleaning crew, and they instructed us to leave the bedding on the porch. After
