You paid this fee when you registered for this course. COURSE DESCRIPTION This course covers methods and tools of generating information for decision making by managers within an organization. Topics include determining the cost of products, services, and segments within the organization (job order and process costing, activity based costing and cost allocation), the planning role of management (cost behavior, cost-volume-profit analysis, short-term and capital budgeting), the control function of management (responsibility accounting, performance measurement and evaluation, and variance analysis) and current issues in management accounting. Integrates management decision making throughout the course. COURSE OBJECTIVES The goal for this course is to familiarize you with the process of systematically evaluating, recording and interpreting business activities through the application of generally accepted accounting principles. This course will provide a solid base for those planning to major in accounting, as well as prepare managers to use the accounting data in their management roles.
