Interviews players to see if they’re a good fit for the team. Interviews are
critical to the workplace. Be honest in interviews, it will be recognized.
Understand what an employer is looking for. How can I prove I’m the best
person for the job? Why are they asking me this? Have a checklist of things to
do before, during and after an interview.
Before interview
Inquire about the process and the time allotted. Inquire about who will be
conducting the interview. Research the company, the industry including
trends and competitors, Those individuals conducting the interviews, location
and how long it will take to arrive at the interview, dress code.
Review job
responsibilities (description/announcement), practice accomplished stories,
plan your objective for interview, prepare questions to ask, research salary,
prepare copies of resume and business cards, prepare reference list, choose
portfolio/ work samples, choose notebook and pen, plan what to wear.
During interview
Firm handshake, make positive eye contact, learn names of interviewers and
