Genetics Poster Assignment Fall 2011 You must rate the participation of everyone in the group twice as part of this assignment. You assign each of your group members with a 3 (best), 2 (acceptable), 1 (unacceptable), 0 (did absolutely nothing, did not respond to email, etc.). People receiving an average score of 1 or 0 will receive either 50% of the group grade, or a zero, respectively. People with an average score of 2 or 3 will earn the group grade for the assignment, but people with an average score of 3 on both evaluations will receive 1 point of extra credit. You are required to attend class twice for this assignment: on 18 October and on 6 December. 1. Fill out the poster topic choice doodle http://www.doodle.com/znmwshv8nqwkib5c if you have not already done so by midnight 13 October. You will find three choices: a) human genetic disease; b) ELSI (ethical, legal, social implication focus, e.g. genetics of sexual orientation); c) big picture (gene therapy, etc .). 2.
