Unformatted text preview: A MIR Kiss Case 1- Summit Puri A MIR Kiss Case Analysis 1 MGMT 645 Summit Puri 01/09/2010 Situation: After spending roughly about a month on the mock space station a member of the international crew was sexually harassed by the captain following a night of celebration and once again the next morning. The international crew consisted of a member from Japan, Austria and a French-Canadian. They joined an already-in-progress group of Russian cosmonauts who had been aboard the vessel for of their 230 required days. Communication was difficult for all since not everyone was proficient in English. The only woman on the mock vessel was the French-Canadian her name is Judith Lapierre. It was reported that after a night of drinking, on New Years Eve, the captain of the vessel (a Russian Cosmonaut) forcefully pulled Lapierre into A MIR Kiss Case 1- Summit Puri an area with no cameras and tried to kiss her. She resisted and fought him off. The captain tried, the next morning, to forcefully kiss Lapierre again. Lapierre reported this to those conducting the study and received a response (from the Russian Psychologist who was in charge of the operation) stating that the incident was a part of the experiment and you have to understand that MIR (the vessel) is an autonomous object, far from anything If the crew cant solve problems...
