Li, Mengheng ENGCMP 9:00AM The   aquatic   pollution   of  Yangtze   River,   the   third   longest   river   throughout   the   world,   is   extremely  serious. And  solid wastes  are  the  main contaminants that directly come  from  human   activities. Every  time  I walked  along  the  river, I could  see  nasty white  foam,  tangling  rotten   vegetables and out-of-shape can pops or Coca-cola bottles, floating on the river. And sometimes I   could even  witness  how  a warn-out shoe  or clothing  “swam”  in the  river. However, only  solid   wastes  see m  not enough,  and  sediment contents aggravate  the  contamination. The  river  seems   “born yellow” due to the excessive sediments, because I recognized there is a distinct yellow-green
