Wong 1 Christina Wong 6 th hour – group 2 9/16/10 Bulls-Eye Projectile Lab 1.) Purpose The purpose of this lab was to find the predicted locations of t 1 , t 2, t 3 , and the landing position from the table top at 40 degrees to the floor. 2.) Procedure Step 1 – Before we set up any of the procedure, we began first by launching the marble from a leveled (0 degree) angle at two clicks of the launcher and measured the distance traveled. Step 2 – After that, we calculated the time using d = ½ gt 2 . Then used the time to calculate the velocity using v = d/t and then found the x and y coordinate at each ring stand point using the equation y = -4.9t 2 + vt + d. Step 3 – We set up each ring stand at its correct coordinate by using a meter stick and plumb line to more accurately set up our experiment. Step 4 – We consistently set two clicks in the projectile launcher for the marble to be set in to launch. We launch it the first time, and determine its accuracy and what needs to be changed
