Living things are complex, integrated, well adapted to their environments and capable of reproducing. At present, the theory of evolution by natural selection is the best scientific explanation for that state of affairs. Detail the six logical steps of the theory. Keep this mechanism in mind as you answer the rest of the questions. 1. Reproduction has the potential to be exponential given that organisms are capable of reproducing more than once in their lifespan. 2. However, the population in each species tends to be very stable. 3. Some organisms fail to reproduce in order for the rate of reproduction to be stable 4. The success of reproduction is bias with respect to traits. 5. Offspring resemble their parents. 6. Traits that foster the success of reproduction will show in the population. 2. The beaks of the Galapagos finches provide an example of evolution by natural selection. A. What is it that is changing about the finch beaks?
