Please note that there are a number of different ways you can go about answering this— I’ll set up one approach below. For the airplane seat question you'll need to include calculations. To start, refer to the chart from the text (below). For males, the mean buttock-to-knee length is 23.5 inches and the standard deviation is 1.1 inches, so the values range from 22.4 inches to 24.6 inches in length. For females, the mean buttock-to-knee length is 22.7 inches and the standard deviation is 1.0 inches, and the values range from 21.7 inches to 23.7 inches.
