What are the major benefits of ChoicePoint's data collection? and What are some of the possible harms of ChoicePoint's data collection? The collection of data that ChoicePoint does has many major benefits. Some of these benefits include the easy accessibility of the information for businesses and consumers. Businesses are able to track the buying behaviors of consumers and offer discounts on frequently purchased items. ChoicePoint’s data collection has also provided many benefits to society through actively participating in finding many abducted children, have helped track down people not paying owed child support, and have provided information to law enforcement agencies that has led to the arrest of hundreds of criminals. However there are many people who challenge these benefits as to whether or not they out weigh the possible harms of this type of data collection. Privacy
