Olivia Nixon Engineering 110 Dr. Crockett 7 December 2009 1-5-10 Plan 1 Year Plan Finish my freshman year with at least a 3.0 GPA Hopefully start to figure out what I want to focus on and fill out my individual course of study form Finish all of my physics and chemistry classes that are required Join at least one engineering club and at least one other club or intramural sports team Try out for the Cal Poly women’s golf team for the 2010 season Find somewhere to live for sophomore year 5 Year Plan Graduate Cal Poly with at least a bachelor’s degree, minimum 3.25 GPA Possibly look for another school at which to pursue a Master’s Degree Have 1-2 internships in my resume Have a job at an engineering design firm such as Lunar Designs (especially since it based in NorCal) With this supposed job I would like to be helping Lunar’s clients by creating innovative products as well as management and marketing ideas/plans for these products

Unformatted text preview: 10 Year Plan Have a Masters degree in some sort of engineering discipline I would like to at least be in a management or project manager position by this time wherever I am employed with higher aspirations of a VP position in either design or engineering I would like to explore the different functions of engineering and would like to have experienced jobs in these various areas such as working with design, manufacturing, sales, and systems I would ideally like to have started a family by this time (at least be married) and have a home of my own I would like to travel the world to explore major engineering feats around the world such as The Great Wall of China, the Netherlands Delta Works, the Chunnel, Millau Viaduct, the Hoover Dam, the Egyptian Pyramids, and much more...
