This is from Genesis 1:1-2:4a This has a more sophisticated form of Hebrew. This is determined by a different kind of language, which is ordered and symmetrical and numerological, in other words, each day matters and it is all structured. It is impersonal, formulaic, austere, ritualistic, not about events or experience, it encourages wonder about how beautiful the order of Creation is. P is fascinated by water, the firmament is created by separated the waters from above from the waters from below. Water is the defining characteristic of P. P arises from a different geographical condition for the writer. J version of Genesis, J for Jahwist. 2:4b-3 This has a more primitive Hebrew. The J version is nor ordered symmetrically but is more fluid, it is etiological.

The ability to access any university’s resources through Course Hero proved invaluable in my case. I was behind on Tulane coursework and actually used UCLA’s materials to help me move forward and get everything together on time.
