Introduction The aim of this paper is to provide detailed instructions on the best way to write a Formal Report. It has been taken into account that the writer is a relative novice and written assistance has been provided on that basis. The points detailed below have been taken from a number of report models from referenced works and within the public domain whose aim is to provide a working document for report writing in business and industry. 2. Report Findings The purpose of a formal report, i.e. the key objectives are: (i) To provide appropriate information (ii) To analyse facts (iii) To put forward ideas and suggestions (iv) To recommend an appropriate course of action 3. Conclusion Formal Report writing requires the writer to formulate their plans and research into a cohesive document appropriately presented for their given audience.
