Course Structure A traditional lecture format will be utilized throughout the course. We will spend a good bit of time in the lecture portion of this class going over concepts from the book and other sources. To be effectively engaged in the class you must bring your clicker, book, assigned handouts and calculator to the lecture class every day . In addition to the lecture portion you will be participating in lab sessions. These lab sessions are where you will spend more time working through specific examples and problems related to the concepts discussed in the lecture. North Carolina State University Accounting 210 - Concepts of Financial Reporting Section 002 - Fall 2011 Suggestions for satisfactory progress in this course: The Accounting Department wishes all students to have success in the classroom. You will not be able to pass this course by only coming to the lecture portion of the class. On average, most students find they need to work on ACC courses at least two to three hours outside of class for each class hour . Chapters should be read before each lecture class meets . Accounting does require quite a bit of independent learning. Do not get behind. You are encouraged to work with other students to enhance your learning. Please feel free to come to see me during my office hours. Review the “Learning Objectives”
