Unit 1 Discussion Board 2 Athena Follett MGMT802-2003C-01 7/10/2020 There are many ways of looking at people within organizations, which consist of organizational behavior, scientific management, and human relations school; along with other classical ways. Each of these theories are similar and different in several ways and have their own strengths and weaknesses. “The basis for an examination of the benefits of teams began with concerns about mass production and the approach of scientific management” (Hurrah for Teams or Teams-Schmeans: So, What is the Impact of Teams?, 1996). This became cause for a deeper look into Organizational Behavior, scientific management, and human relations. Organizational Behavior is the discipline that exist between those within the organization being studied. The way that each person participates within their team and work with each team member is the studies’ primary focus. In addition, Organizational Behavior started to occur during the beginning of the twentieth century at the time of the Civil War in the United States (Processes, 2015).
