Magnetism Magnetism Naturally formed magnets like the lode stone have been found since ancient times. Each magnet has two poles: N & S Like-kind poles repel, unlike-kind attract Magnetic poles occur in pairs. Isolated N or S poles ( magnetic monopoles ) have never been found in nature . Magnetic field ( B ) – It is a vector field like electric field – It can be mapped by a test magnet B vectors are tangential to Magnetic Field Lines N S B NS N S B
