STATEMENT OF INTERVIEW CONTEXT I chose interview my mother for this Oral History Project. We decided the interview take place in our living room in Sacramento, California around 3:00 p.m., when the kids were outside playing and my dad went onto his work bench in the garage. This interview took place around Fall Break. BRIEF HISTORICAL BIOGRAPHY My mother’s name is Rosalie Pangelinan Dueñas and I chose the interview to focus on the topic of her life as a teenager. She was born on October 3, 1962. As a child, she moved around a lot and lived in many places such as California, Louisiana, Guam and Virginia. She married my father in 1991 and now has 5 girls who are of the ages 27, 19, 18, 15 and 10. She graduated from high school and got her diploma and was educated in one year of college. She has been working since she was 18 years of age. She is Guamanian and Filipino and likes to listen to music, read and garden in her spare time. In high school, she got the award for best dressed in the year book her senior year.
