PHYSICS 21900 COURSE SYLLABUS, FALL 2011 Lecturer: Prof. Martin Kruczenski – Room 274, [email protected] Lab: Dr. Andrzej ( Andrew ) Lewicki – Room 142, [email protected] Recitations: Andrew Kramer ( [email protected] ) Textbook: College Physics II, by N. Giordano. Notice that Lectures notes are available at the course website. They should be useful but do not replace the text book. Course webpage : http://www.physics.purdue.edu/academic_programs/courses/phys219/ Lectures: 10:30 – 11:20 am, Mondays and Wednesdays in PHYS 112. Lab: There is a separate syllabus for the Lab. Please check it. Recitations: 10:30 – 11:20 am, Fridays in PHYS 112. These are problem sessions. Homework: The Computerized Homework in Physics (CHIPs) system will be used. http://chip.physics.purdue.edu/ Always check the corresponding webpage for pending homework. Exams: Three exams will be given. Exams are closed book. Exam I : Monday 09/26, 8:00pm – 9:30 pm PHYS 112. Exam II : Monday 11/07, 8:00pm – 9:30 pm PHYS 112.
