Objective The objective of this project was primarily to understand the movement of the Geneva mechanism shown in Figure 1. The equations for the movement of point P and wheel 2 can be found using the measured values of the rotation of wheel one, in revolutions per minute, given in the Excel file. This requires understanding the relative velocity and acceleration equations, and applying them, in order to solve for the unknown values.
