Beginning Classical Guitar The Natural Notes in the First Position--tablature format Here is a great way to get used to finding the "natural" notes in the first position that we'll be studying for the next few weeks. Once you have them in your tactile memory, the note reading will be much easier as we progress from string to string. Memorize these notes as quickly as possible and then make sure to watch your hands for proper placement and position. "Tab" is read by viewing the lines as guitar strings; the lowest line is the 6th string. The numbers indicate at which fret to place your left hand finger.
