More definitions _Sampling_ : Process of using a small number of  items or parts of a population to make  conclusions about the whole population. _sample_ : A subset of a larger population. _sampling_(working population) : List of  elements from which a sample may be drawn. Sampling error : Error that arises from  estimating a population characteristic using a  sample that fails to reflect the population.
