AED 205 Observed behavior Should you address or ignore the behavior? Why? What management technique(s) will you use to address the behavior? What will you do if the student continues the behavior? A student is speaking to himself and making other noises like drumming on the desk and tapping his foot. I would ignore the situation unless the student is disrupting the other students are it happens during quite or test times. If the students is not causing any nuisances than there is not any seriousness to the situation. If addressing is needed then I would ask the student to stop the behavior politely. If the behaviors continued I would first give a warning and then if still no success I would take away a few minutes of recess or free
