PLUS Session (Notion of Work) Directions: For the next 30 minutes, work together in groups (3-4) on the following problems/questions. A spring has a natural length of 20 cm. A 40 N force is required to stretch the spring to a length of 30 cm. How much work is done in stretching the spring from 35 cm to 38 cm? 2. A 20 foot cable weighs 80 pounds and hangs from the ceiling of a building without touching the floor. Determine the work done that must be done to lift the bottom end of the chain all the way up until it touches the ceiling.
