Breone Mikell November 14, 2011 MK 4300: Case Analysis 1. What is the decision making process for Metabical? Who is involved in the process? First Metabical conducted a Marketing Communications Strategy and it has 3 components which are Advertising, Promotions & Public Relations, and Sales Force. The Advertising strategy includes a DTC television, online, radio, and print media blitz to get establish Metabical name. Printup also considered during a celebrity endorsed to promote the brand and targeting the professional medical community which would help get buzz of the product. The Promotions & Public Relations strategy included different strategies like sending mail out to health care providers to doing press releases and events. The Sales Force strategy includes developing sales scripts and presentations providing clinical information. Also, the sales force would visit practices each day to promote. The consumer (patients) and the health care providers would be the people involved in the decision making process. Recognize a need : According to the research, over 50% of Americans are overweight. Many of them are in need to lose weight, not just for the physical appearance but for health reasons. Being overweight can make you outcast in society which can lead to low self esteem and other
